​The Blade Doctor's mission is to ensure proper sharpening of your blades. We understand that in cosmetology school, you are not taught about your shears; for example, at what angle the blade should be for your individual cutting style, or what type of steel is best or the difference between convex and beveled shears. You are trained to use them.

​

As a stylist, barber, or groomer, you need to know exactly what is happening to your shears; that is your livelihood. You need to know the difference between a convex edge and a beveled edge. You need to know how to vet a sharpener to ensure he/she is the real deal and won't destroy the very thing you need to provide for you and your family. You need to know how to take care of your tools so they last. But this is not taught in school - this is the job of the sharpener to teach you.
